I tell ya when I went to my sons way up in Alberta and I got rid of all this US crap and ran on pure 50 cetane and NO bio...this thing ran like a sewing machine....engine was soooooo smooth and no knock nor shivering or studdering AND a steady 24 mpg at 105 Kmph

I think its more of a CYA issue...since nearly almost every auto maker is involved to some degree....

I was restricted in my dump truck in Ontario to 1/2 load...yes and even while building roads at taxpayer expense no less....wait a month and get a full load go figure...LOL

Because Americans are CHEAP! they don't want to pay the price....you get what ya pay for....don't want heavy taxes, you get cheap roads.....Canada has the same frost laws... what doesn't make sense is....1/2 the weight for TT and 1/2 for a straight....why allow a 20T TT and not a fully loaded...

lets just clear this up...the 07, 08 and 09 are pre DEF and but have the DPF filter with the 6 cyl engine..:)
