    Fool me once.....April is here

Not quite. We're saving the environment by paying a carbon tax so the politicians can have a raise. Now THIS makes me happy

    Good dispatchers

If you want a reality check; get your own proof of coverage, in an actual claim situation 99% of companies will pass ALL the responsibility unto you regardless of their warm and happy verbal promises (Speaking of cargo and liability here)

    Fool me once.....April is here

I usually quit when asked for a safety. Are the state techs honest? Last time I went for one my van came back with a floppy steering column and no signal lights, and a nice undercoating spray from the diff... Ooh forgot the massacred abs sensor. They left it out, and the 3 lit amber lights on...

    Fool me once.....April is here

    Rates

Translation: every company will have different rates. Unless the company pays a flat rate to the driver, every individual order can have a different rate too (somewhere between what the customer wants to pay and what the company can get away charging)

New App for Sprinters & Cargo Vans

I truly don't understand. No I don't think it's a conflict of interest (mostly because I believe people should be able to do what they want) Most of 12 years, I've been with the same carrier. Yes I would throw them under the bus in a tenth of a second if it benefits me (as they would do, and...

    DOT Inspection

Curious, is it required? In Ontario we have an MTO inspection, where you get to place an ugly yellow sticker on your van. Haven't done it in 12 years, as under 10k aren't required to. However they won't say no if you ask for one

Another sign we don't have long

Waymo, the closest to Level 5, is still full steam ahead, although others have voluntarily or been forced to halt testing. Unfortunately (or fortunately if you hate working) rather than slow things down, it may just change the winner of the race to full automation. I don't think these systems...
