My last 2 carriers I was averaging about 1,000 (from Chicago) (800 from KC)to get home and minimum 500 to get back out everytime I wanted to be home....My newest carrier has reduced that significiently due to more personal attention ( smaller carrier ) I believe 15-20% is the number often...

On that point you are correct OAB would not work for everyone.... One must figure out what profits they can live with...

I'd love to be able to do OAB again like when I was in Canada....this living in a van really sucks....and it does have an expense as well that must be added in....not only a financial expense either....a quality of life cost as well...which the value of, to the person its costing... been trying...

when you are sitting in some truck stop for days on end ...many things go thru ones mind...and this is one of them... approx...672 hours available in 4 weeks and you are on duty all that time....IF you gross $6,000 average that month....thats still less then 10 bucks an hr....:p

Turtle has figures to kind of prove this setup.....just ask him about his :left side wear as opposed to right side....amazing when the weight is on 1 side...I would imagine there would be more wear on the front end components depending on model and driving habits of the individual driver...

I never paid taxes quarterly until 2 years ago when congress changed the tax code..... Reason: Never made a profit...My GAI was always at poverty level.... for 6 yrs prior I paid yearly... apparently SS tax is not the same as paying income tax...
