That is absolutely a carriers FAULT.. Either the contract rate is too low. to pay out DH. or a dispatcher is keeping some of the profit.. IF.. IF were really a MUST load they would pay you ALL that was in the load and NOT make a profit. AND yet they try their best to guilt us into it...

Absolutely....as vehicles dwindle there will be times that we will be asked to go absurd DH distances for a MUST cover load...carriers have to understand that this is a deal breaker unless WE are properly reimbursed.

When I was with a Can carrier unpaid DH is almost the norm...unfortunately I think the secret is to stay close to your lanes and forget those Looong loads where ya have to DH back into the zone.

For us we are going to see JuJu at home for most of the year...long loads just wear us out...I am happy with 400-600 miles loads. 3x's a week. Any busier then that is gravy. Looking to be OOS even more as I tend to the land out here....I don't need to grind and hustle anymore...I'll leave that...
