It would depend on your need for personal space...and your sleeping plans....if you are planning to give a carrier only the 8 1/2 feet you could have a small bunk area...OR if you go with a fold down bunk you could give the carrier 10' with 2 feet for personal stuff...lots a variations....the...

IMO..any one contracted to a carrier is NOT an Independent Owner Operator...Just an Owner Operator.... As long as you depend on that carrier for your livelihood all independence is gone. Your future is in thier hands

The analogy that comes to mind is: Go into the office and say....I am going to cut your wages by 15% BUT there is the opportunity to work overtime to help make up for it...that sounds fair? So you'll make the same money but have to work longer hours to do so... :rolleyes:

also Dave according to E-1 gloating from 08 to 09 load counts were up 60% in 09...go figure.....we now have to run more miles to make what we did in 08....from this side of the fence that is all wrong. In my mind it is to the advantage of a driver doing the 60/40 split and running the wheels...
