If these guys want to run them heavy loads...so be it, their choice...I'll take the next 50 lb load while they are busy humping that 4,000 lbs around..;)..this business like any other is full of choices...in no way are they inferring with my operation....

we ran into that when it was Express1 more so...anything over 2,000 lbs was a sprinter load...the rate was bumped from 80 to 1.00 0r 1.05....

sometimes the dispatcher knows....the old 0 pieces, 0 weight that comes across....I call it the mystery load An experienced driver knows when it is heavy....it doesn't take much of a brain the see the back end take a dive and multiply that by the number of skids....

When I was there that would never happen....upon recruitment they made you get a weigh ticket and they calculated your maximum weight...based on scale mine at that time was 2600 lbs that was with 2 people and gear...dispatch would never offer me anything over that...

Does that Sprinter driver have a CDL? or have a hazmat endorsement?... is it a one time shot like some carriers just for recruiting? or do they have to renew it like CDL holders have to?

I drove a fleet cab for almost a week with no reverse talk about challenging your skills! Fleet owner said the meter doesn't run in reverse can't make any money that way...

They can carry 6000 lbs as well if they want .... just don't get in an accident and you've exceeded the door sticker weight ! We are discussing legal carrying weight.., you are discussing over weighting what the door sticker says... And I was commenting on a sprinter NOT a Transit...

Well that's just wrong there is not a sprinter built that can take 4000 pounds and I know it one time XPO wanted a weight ticket so they could figure out how much weight you could carry heck there is hardly even ever a sprinter that can take 3000 pounds Gee whiz
