Politics plays a big role on how money is dispersed...the big cities get more with bigger political clout...It costs more to run a rural school then a big city school....a teacher gets the same pay regardless of class size...we might have 4 kids in grade 3 and 3 kids in grade 4...so they combine...

Our school year is adjusted to the farm/ranch schedule spring break around calving/lambing summer break around the harvest...the kids actually work...:D Now it is a 4 day school week to save money just so our kids can have decent toilet paper...:eek:

Home schooling sucks....never ever would I be part of that garbage!

sure back when everyone would kick in a buck to pay the teachers salary of 10 bucks a month and the school was nothing but a big woodshed....gee compare apples and oranges

Your idea maybe feasible east of the Mississippi, but not in remote or sparsely populated areas...there is just no income Maybe you are rich but there is no way even 20 couples in one county can afford to educate say 10 children of different ages...

That time to turn them clocks ahead!
