No problem Hawk.... yes they do pay vans a fair rate...and specific vans might have been in not so good areas for them...I think they might be on average as I do now....go-go-go and hesitate...you know the normal stuff...bit at a higher rate of pay..which makes it all good...

Why do you think the company always has to compromise? where is the "partnership"? By the OP's own numbers the company was going to make $388.80 on the original offer...so in that regard would have the extra 32 bucks hurt them either?

Depends on the situation.. this driver knows there is a margin for the company and pushes for extra pennies on every load...where does one draw the line? knowing this guys history, the dispatcher should have came in at $1.24...???

About 5 years ago..I chummed with a guy out of Buffalo who drove for them a straight he has left the biz...and currently I talk regularly with 2 van drivers... BTW Hawk..you say caca on both points...would you like to share what you know?...instead of just shooting me down outright..

Always open..I never box myself in...I know that sometimes you have to try and get back end money and that might knock you out of the load...In my case that is not required..and dispatch knows of this...
