Repositioning only really comes into play when things are slower...when times are good, most of the time you can just drop and stop...

But there is still that time lag...a .10 pump increase on Thursday won't be figured into the rate that fast on a Friday load offer...some drivers don't take that into consideration...and should..they are not paying attention...

When you have the reasoning skills to weed out the one upsmanship and BS factor.... ever notice a circle of drivers talking and what happens is..."I had this load once" then the next guys chimes in with.."thats nothing, I had this load once"....and it just keeps going around in circles...

Re positioning is an art form...you won't learn it by changing carriers every 6 months or so....it takes time and patience...and the ability to learn, absorb and observation...ears open, mouth shut....

sometimes there is a bit of lag between the real time pump price and the FSC rates...they never go up at the same time...so the driver is quoting real time expense...

Cali would have to a big shove...like a return trip booked and confirmed type shove...oh and Florida is about to be ripped from my atlas as well...

If I remember rightly and I might get this backwards...LL time will not reset if you go OOS but the LA time will reset to when truck goes back into service.... LL= Last load LA= Last availability

Canadian trucks could do the same....CHEAP American diesel and have an advantage in Canada...and US trucks that go to Mexico could fuel up down there...
