at some carriers, the dispatchers actually think, believe it or not....they have one sitting at home in their lazyboy and remote...and one sitting in a tin can of sweltering heat...which one they going to pick?

and stay away from Fedex..it is commonly known for those of us already in the field...that they are not, Solo straight friendly.;)

This is an issue....and it does happen more time then not.... Try somehow to by asking drivers and recruiters and "find" that wall that separates the 2.....how the dispatchers work in the real world...it is a distance apart from the recruiting office...you will have "feel" this one out....

Over the years It has been my general experience...unless they really need you..those at home "sometimes" get dispatched around....with certain carriers...

and to think I folded an old cereal box to fit...for free...:p

oh we still have $1.00 for the 3rd skid and anything over 2,000lbs...reason I lumped it in was we also run CV loads at a reduced rate... and most other carriers don't pay for the 3rd skid... at least we sprinters tend to even out the CV rate when we get a few dollar loads...

I was home in SD when this load came up...and the pick-up was in the direction I would have travelled anyway to get to Mn...it worked for me...every load is judged on its merits...

there's been many a times it has been a 3 skid order and I am able to double stack...:D

It was a 1473 mile load....and a 100 bucks is about 900 miles of fuel...
