I'm just guessing that a carrier would like a driver to have a FAST card whether or not they are shipping FAST loads or not. Just the peace of mind knowing that there "shouldn't" be a problem with the driver crossing or being grilled is well worth the $50 for 5 yrs. I got it on my own dime...

FYI Family Day is Ontario Alberta and Saskatchewan only but that's probably the vast majority of Canadian freight.
