Everybody needs to get a pair of orthopedic shoes. Then you'll all stand corrected.

    America the Baby Sitter

Unaccompanied minors at the border fall under the William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2008, which passed the House and Senate unanimously and was signed into law by President George W. Bush. That law says the children cannot be sent back. They must instead...

    hello june.

When they call me and ask what I'll take to run a load, I'll lead semi-jokingly with "As much you can get," and isn't that funny, but it quickly moves to the reality of, "Whatever you can get for it is fine."

    hello june.

That's exactly what I drive. I drive a cargo van, which gets very good fuel mileage, that I can stand up in and gets me more load opportunities. I take what's offered and add it up at the end of the month. I ran .77 a mile + fcs freight at Panther in the same van for 5 years and did well. I do...

    hello june.

I've taken $.90 a mile and $1.50 a mile, slow or busy, it didn't matter. What matters is, it all adds up.

    hello june.

What every Sprinter class owner needs to realize is that a Sprinter is a cargo van. It's a cargo van that is a little longer or taller and thus allows you to obtain some loads that other cargo vans cannot haul. A Sprinter is a cargo van that allows you to be more flexible and less limited in...

    Seal and Penguin

Yeah, Rifleman's Creed from the US Marines. "If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times, I am NOT a loofah!"

This is my penguin. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

    Where do you get off?

So are you saying the right to vote is God-given because it is an extension from the right of self determination, despite the right to self determination being a created right?

    Where do you get off?

I'm not making a case either way, other than I tend towards your position. All I'm doing is taking a step back and observing the reality of it all I didn't, and wouldn't, call it an entitlement. I called it a civil right. All civil rights are created by society. Every one of them. Not all...

You can stomp your feet just as hard as the inalienable crowd, but you won't get your way either. I never said firefighting was a civil right, I said firefighters are subject to civil rights claims. They can't refuse to fight a fire at your house simply because you are black, or Muslim, or gay.

Now that the rating has changed, we shouldn't see any more Load 1 trucks sitting. :D

    The Tea Party Strikes Again.

Yes I do. I think the responses directed at the poster, rather than the post, are unwarranted and off-topic. And there are far too many of them in this thread. There are some people who really, REALLY, REALLY need to pretend they don't know who posted something, and then craft their replies...

    Why not?

That's exactly right. Not that it matters to some, but the President and the Vice President do not have any official security clearance at all. Technically, the President's and Vice President's security clearance is "Need to Know" clearance, which is upon what all security clearances in the...

    UPS Linehaul

UPS Freight does a lot of expedite from their terminals, mainly because they can't get it delivered in time. Also, because they don't want to send a whole truck and trailer out to BFE for just one or two skids. I do a lot of that. It pays very well, too.

It's opened back up. Looks like it got locked by accident. Probably like this:

Do cargo vans even have any sort of future in expediting?

I prefer FECC. The FE for FedEx and the CC for Custom Critical. Also because, FE is pronounced "feeee" and a pair of C's are pronounced like seas, "seees". Put them together. It used to be just a cheap shot, but now it's becoming more and more an apt description. :D

As ridiculous as it sounds, it turns out that healthcare is, indeed a right. The Declaration of Human Rights says it is. Some people go as far as to state that healthcare is an inalienable right (natural right, not transferable to another or capable of being repudiated), which is absurd since...
