starting up, looking for drivers, questions

Mark, Yes, you could actually lose 50 to 100K or more. I've read this whole thread, and what Dave and Greg and others have told you is strong advice to be considered. I have a small fleet of trucks and over and above the hassles you have with drivers, repairs, etc. you have to be aware of...

Are you Happy with your carrier

Ditto. The fun is back now that you don't have to worry about the next load. Had the seat next to Mr. SNAPPY today in the company jet, aka John's Jag.

Ken, you do conspiracy, I'll do irony. Cheesecake in Michigan in the morning, I hit the yard at Taylor at midnight. Good thing TJ didn't get a slice anyway. With four cups of sugar in there, he wouldn't need to buy fuel to get to KC. He could push the Sprinter there.

You can learn quite a bit about Load 1 from this thread as well as other threads on this forum. That said, call Brian in recruiting or PM John (jelliott) and you'll get the information you request. If you like, you can PM me and I'll try and answer your questions from an O/O's standpoint.

    Nations Express........

Welcome to Load 1 chef. You'll like it here. Have to agree with you about TJP. The couple of weeks he ran my Sprinter proved to me that he's the real deal. His owner is lucky to have him.

I think he might be politely saying that if you did hunt in your shorts, there wouldn't be any need for hunter orange clothing.

With both you guys at Taylor, I imagine the place is jumping. Glad we cleared up that it's wombats truck. I'll deduct the repair costs on the E-Z Payment plan. As for Load 1, we wouldn't be anywhere else.

If I put my actual feelings about it here, there would be nothing but asterisks. Suffice it to say it makes me sick to my stomach.

Are you running Single or Team

I didn't get to talk very long to TJ at the Expo, but it was long enough to know that you're right OVM. He'll do well at Load 1. I wish I had him in one of my Sprinters. If you or he want actual numbers on Sprinters send me a PM I'll give you numbers.

    Diagnosing AC problem

I doubt that the PCM is at fault here. If this is a well equipped shop they should have a diagnostic scanner. The scanner will have a display for the A/C clutch that says "off" and "on". The PCM only reads that the ground circuit is completed and sends power to the compressor clutch turning...

whats better, percentag or millage pay?

Have to agree with Dave. One of our trucks had a lift gate and when we signed it on with a carrier, they were very positive about it being used often. In two years with that carrier, it was used once and that was due to a dispatcher's mistake. If you do go with one, make sure it has the...
