They do for Mercedes vehicles. They won't release the software to the aftermarket. Nothing special about the ECM, just a computer, the software makes it work. Germany's revenge???

Unfortunately, the ECM is vehicle specific. The VIN has to be programmed in at the parts location. They have the software, the dealer doesn't. Once it gets to the dealer, the rest of the vehicle info gets programmed in. To my knowledge, Mercedes has not released the software so ECM's can be...

If they have to order the part, tell them to overnight it or you'll be there for the weekend.:(

I've dealt with many service managers over the years both as a tech and customer. Most I wouldn't give the time of day to, but this guy shouldn't be allowed to do what you say he's doing.

I know he's a repeat customer but he's not a regular. Dodge dealers no longer sell Sprinters so they don't care if they lose the business. At least it appears that this dealer doesn't.

Probably not the tech but the service manager. Free labor and free parts reduce his bottom line. With SD plates, Ken wouldn't be seen in his shop that often. Usually, the tech is not paid to correct a mistake he made, but that doesn't stop the manager from charging the customer. Honesty...

Reasonable answer on the tech's part. Service managers/directors aren't my favorite people right now, so I'll reserve comment on him. Being the suspicious person that I am, I will say that putting you off this long makes me think they are waiting for something. A part or wiring harness they...

Is this a Dodge dealer or Mercedes?? It doesn't take that long to figure out. How much experience does this tech have?

In Marshall, MI. Dropped the load in Hudson this morning and headed to Dexter. Grabbed a shower and a bite. Was eating the bite when Caryn called about 1330. Seems there was a problem with a truck that was to pick up a load in St. Joseph, MI. Wolf'd (I'm an expert at this, so don't try it...

    QC messages

Yeah. When they are crossdocked, they have to split the numbers before they can post them.

Click on the load number or "Idle" in the Load Status column. It opens up another window showing all the recent loads and revenue. If you mean added revenue for anything, it doesn't separate it.

Thanks Ron. Feels pretty good.:D What:confused: Dropped the "flour" this morning in Hudson. Presently in Dexter, MI #8 in the queue. Taylor no better, so I guess I'll stay here and grab a shower.:)

    My best friend Snaps

On the dash? I have this picture in my mind of Snaps wearing a pair of goggles staring out the windshield. "Snaps is your co-pilot"

On the two loads I ran today, I didn't receive a QC revenue message on either of them. When I checked Fleetvision tonight, only one has the revenue noted. Not complaining, happy to have the loads.

Truck is no longer a "virgin". Ran two loads today, sort of. First was from Madison Heights to Charlotte, MI. Second was from Okemos, MI to Hudson, MI. The "sort of" came about when I arrived to unload in Hudson. No one home at the drop. Turned out the load wasn't scheduled until 0800...

    Qualcomm Notification Service

I'd be interested in it for myself and my drivers. Have had instances where loads were lost because the drivers were out of the truck, eating, doing laundry, etc. and dispatch didn't call. Does the message get sent for any QC message? If it were a fleet message, dispatch could get a few...

I asked what the load paid when I first started with Load 1, but after seeing what every load paid, I stopped asking. I do prefer seeing the revenue message though so I don't have to look on Fleetvision. When my drivers complain that they didn't get it, I tell them to send a QC message...
