    Expediter Services leaving E-1

Re: Expedite Services leaving E-1 Hard to tell but at those rates, it would be wise to switch. Not sure either but they might not been getting paid 100 percent for the DH either. Just a thought. Long deadheads could add up if you aren't compensated somewhere at the 1.20 rate.

New Plant in Mexico NOT closing any US or Can. Plants just an expansion.

I think he is telling you right. There has been a little less van freight overall, and some of it has been downright cheap. Personally, I think the market is just a little too over saturated with vans. May even out over the next few months.

It has been pretty busy through the summer so I think the last two quarters will be pretty decent as well.

On this kind of stuff I usually go with "watch what they do, not what they say". Time will tell.

    Kill the rumor mill

Nothing wrong with finding a better opportunity. Hope he does well in his new gig.:D Jeff is taking his place and brings years of experience with different carriers to the table. Don't see any downside for all concerned.

    PM expenses

Leasing companies are anywhere from .08 to .11 cents per mile for maintenance. If you are buying one, then that depends on the trucks age and many other factors.

    Landstar Orientation

Hey "Don't shoot the messenger". Whether I am a mod or not has little to do with the well proven facts, debunked myths or the message. Sorry, if you didn't like the message. I think that is enough on this and we should wish Mdscott luck on his new gig and help him get acclimated to his new...

    Landstar Orientation

Well Phil, let me give you a little different prospective. The perception that some have given off over the years, has lent itself to the endorsement of being called cheerleaders. That doesn't mean all, but a review of past threads by other members clearly says that. Even a designated cartoon...

    Get me moving yamoo

Do all make that? No. There are some that do. Actually, there are some above that for all miles. Same with straights and some of the vans. Many different contracts and rates at Panther.

Looks like the best thing for Landstar recruiting has been Fedex. Good luck on the new gig.

    Get me moving yamoo

Three loads over three weeks? Hope that was a misprint in the Fed forum. How many do you turn down? With only three loads over three weeks with a TT, I guess yamoo is the response.

CAT 3126 rough idles then dies

Based on the extra info, it sounds like the fuel pump, or the pump sensor. A bad pump won't throw a code. A bad sensor usually will. If the filter is empty, the problem is ahead of the injectors.

    What if there were no....

I somewhat get the impression that there is numerous fleet owners based on some current posts. I am not so sure. Kinda hard to put a count to it, but I would be surprised if there is more than 75 of them now for the whole expedite side of trucking. Of that number, only a handful are real...

    What if there were no....

I probably would have answered this a little differently ten years ago. Times change, and so has this business. Testing the waters with minimal investment, age, health, and a host of other items have been there for quite some time. What has changed is a continual downward pressure on...
