    Your Opinion Please!

I also think there is some terminology confusion with BD. Just to clarify for him; An O/O is someone who owns the truck and operates the truck. An owner is someone who owns the truck and hires, or sub-contracts, a driver to operate it for him. That person is not an O/O. I'm with a small company...

    Hours of Service Concerns

You alluded to the agenda in your previous post in that a Schneider Vp is in a prominant position in all this. Making things harder for teams would benefit an outfit like them that can easily move a load coast to coast with drop and hook.

Got mine Wed. in Northern Mich. Adress change was handled in a very competent manner, which is more than I can say for the phone company!

    Hearing Lost

My last 2 physicals were done by different doctors and both used the whisper. My feeling is you would have a problem with it. Are you using a hearing aid? You may be all right then.

    designing a cargo van

I'd just like to emphasize what you said about not being able to haul more than the GVWR. I've talked to some who think they could license their vans for 12000# and legally run down the road with 4 or 5k on. NOT the case!!

    Canada Ontario truck inspection stations?

A few years ago one of our vans was chased down after going by the Tecumseh scale. He was brought back and inspected. The officer sent a letter off to Thompson saying the vans needed to stop. Since then I've talked to a couple of people who have asked at the different scales and it sounds like...

A light touch with the right hand and the right foot. Trying too hard is the most common problem with someone learning. The low gears require very little fuel pedal.

    Who Locked The Panther Thread?

Well said LDB. I joined this Forum because because I enjoy seeing what people have to say about the business I'm in and I like to be helpful when I can. Dynamite, I'm no rocket scientist, but I would like to think I'm somewhere in the range of average. I truly enjoy reading what EVERYONE has...

    Who Locked The Panther Thread?

At the very least people should use minimal punctuation. Just a period at the end of a sentence makes a huge difference. A long post that is one huge run-on sentence is VERY difficult to read. When over use of abbreviations and errors is added to that, forget about it. Is it just laziness...

    Fuel Leak

I have a friend with a FL70 who is going through this problem right now. He called Freightliner about a new one and they are on national backorder. If he pays up front they will order it but with no guarantee when it may arrive. They would'nt even try to cross reference to see what they could...

    found o/o ready to go

I've had several versions of Streets and Trips and they always had issues with the route. Especially from where I live in Northern Mich. I just got '06 and from the little bit I've played around it seems to be better. I do a lot of what you do with adding cities to see the differences in routes...

    Just a comment

Sometimes attempts at humor don't come across well in a forum. Particularly when the person trying to be funny can't seem to spell or construct a sentence at an early elementary school level. You did get some great responces Broom. When mine were young I had an OTR job that had me home very...
