I look at the price constantly and if I am at 1/2 a tank or below I fill up at the cheaper stations....I also don't only limit myself to truckstops. I go to any station as long as my truck will fit under canopy:) We have the exempt diesel here in Indiana, but sometimes Ohio is cheaper than here

An adjustable sleeper is the way to go, do you want to lose that load because your van has the larger sleeper?. Make an adjustable wall or use a nice insulated curtain.

I hate driving a small car in NYC, I can't even imagine a van or a straight truck. I drive straight to my Uncle's house in Brookyln and park the car till I leave. Oh and I leave in the early morning 3 or 4 am so the traffic is just a little lighter
