Cheri Why would we only just let Panther drivers, it would be for everyone. We have our trucks leased on to FedEx Custom Critical. I guess you could say it would be a place for Expediters.

Yea Rumored, a trucking company info is open to the public. I checked it at the time they bought Con-Way. Con Way had less than 400 trucks and Panther was around 550 at the time. Over the half the Con Way trucks didnt go to Panther so the numbers add up. Panther has never been over 1000 trucks...

Everythime DOT does an in house inspection of logs and paperwork all the info is given to the DOT. It shows that in the Safer Report.

At the time of the buyout Panther showed 710 trucks with 953 drivers. So I would have to say they are growing not getting smaller. Those stats came from the safer report too.

If you want a great place to do a rebuild, R and R Engine out of Akron,Ohio does alot of rebuilds on expedite trucks. The cost to do a rebuild on a 3126 Cat is around $6000.00. better than paying $15,000.00 for a new motor.

That would be a sad thing if that happens. With the new Idle laws, I think they offer a good service. When their cost was $1.25 per hour people used them more. Now it's $2.25 per hour which is $54.00 in 24 hours. You can get a cheap motel for that.

I'm sorry I feel that the drivers should get some of everything but not all of it. Owners could go to paying you by the hour. Since DOT says you can only work 70 hours in a week, if a owner pays you $10.00 per hour then you would make $700.00 per week. Trucking companies do not have to pay time...

Been told by many friends that was on with Panther that they was a good company except for their settlement department. We always get paid ontime at my carrier.
