    does anybody care

It was a hot and steamy afternoon in Waco, but the air conditioned comfort of the Flying Hook, a Wifi connection that actually was working well, and a view out the window of the Babes walking to their cars on the gas island made the oppressive heat seem a thousand miles away. It was then and...

    Permits

I waited a long time to get satilite radio while everyone was telling me how great it was and I would'nt regret it. They were right.

    New to expediting

I can testify to the serious "feast or famine" swings in van freight. This year has been the worst in that department. This spring I had a week I where I did nothing. Last month I had a week that was probably a record at well over 3k.

Birthday! July 11 - Somebody has a birthday

I-75 Detroit to Monroe is a WHOLE lot better than it was a few years ago. The strech they re-did through Lincoln Park was a war zone.

    newbie

Good home time and a good living in Expedite don't always work well together. The most sucessful tend to stay out 3-6 weeks, some much more. If you live in the midwest, southern Mich, Ohio, ect., you can get by the house more often. If you are running team you will be expected to do 1000 mile days.

Need help from the seniors of expedite...

The A-team responce was a good one. If you spend more than a minute you're starting to bring the "what-ifs" into play. If I take this groaner, what if something better had come along. If I don't, what if something better does'nt come along. Sometimes it can seem like you just need to do...

Just treat Detroit like a rough snowmobile trail. Go fast enough to stay on top of the bumps.

    Time to Exit Expedite

Many of us, males in particular, would have said "Ahh, it's nothing", and continued on our way. We all applaude your wisdom. My great-uncle had a pace maker installed back when they sounded like some kind of futuristic deal. He made it well into his 90s. I hope you continue to be active here...

    Phil's truck

Dave, I'm with you on wondering about the secrecy and the engineers. The truck does'nt appear to be anything new. The big bunk, small box has been done many times before. Having been done before, it is odd that it was'nt done right the first time.

Yeah, I want some Cheezy Poofs!!

I was talking about South Park. The show they did ripping on Scientology was way funny. In the episode, Tom Cruise walks out of a closet he's hiding in. One of several very funny moments. (Coming out of the closet...) I like all the grown-up cartoons. Family Guy, King of the Hill, Simpsons. The...

    Phil's truck

That does seem to be cutting it close. But with a sleeper that big most of the weight will stay back on the tandems. It is a good looking truck. Best of luck A-team.

Yeah, I want some Cheezy Poofs!!

I could'nt help but chuckle when I heard that the South Park episode that totally goofed on Scientology was nominated for an Emmy. Tom Cruise used his Star Power to get Comedy Central barred from ever re-airing it. They are apparently owned by the same corporation that did MI3 and he threatened...
