    FedX driver rear ends SUV

TeamCaffee... if the accident in question was the same one I saw in a news clip from local television, then it was a tractor pulling double trailers. The news clip gave an aerial view as seen from a helicopter. I will do a little more digging for info. Very sad for all involved.

    FedX driver rear ends SUV

A few more details about this crash can be found at WAVE3.com which is a website for the Louisville TV station. The little info available there indicates the FedEx semi driver wasn't expected to be cited.

Did the US and capitalism save Egypt?

I would prefer to believe the Egyptian military felt empathy and compassion for their fellow countrymen. These civilians were their relatives, neighbors and friends.

    Libertarianism

The statistics I most often see indicate US Muslim population to be approximately 2.5 million; giving them less than 1% of the total US population.

    Libertarianism

OKay, Greg. When Libertarians gain some credibility and winning elections on the strength of their ideas, we will be forced to take notice. I just don't see it happening anytime soon. I like so much of their economic policies, it leaves me wondering how they can be so wrong on important...

Wis. troopers sent to find Democrats, no one home

Is anyone else seeing a pattern with "Run Away" Democrats? Imagine if Barack Obama fled the country rather than fulfill his sworn constitutional duties. You gotta know new legislation is being crafted to prevent this nonsense from happening in the future. These runaways make a mockery of good...

    Libertarianism

Here is an example of Libertarians trying desperately to attach themselves to something meaningful. The Tea Party movement is all about electing Conservatives to office, not electing fringe groups (e. g. Libertarians). Of the thousands of political officeholders nationwide, I am unaware of...

    Libertarianism

Reality check: Libertarianism has never held power or governed in this country. The Libertarian Party has no real influence and cannot get enough traction to pull itself out of the ideological ditch. It's a surreal pipedream... an embarrassingly naive philosophy which sounds good to 17...

    Libertarianism

Lawrence... I admire your grit and optimistic fervor for the forlorned Libertarian cause. While the registered voters aligned with the Libertarian Party in the United States equals less than 1% of our national population, Libertarians enjoy the multiplier effect brought about by unbridled...

    Libertarianism

Jimby, I understand the attraction of a catchy slogan. Moreover, I actually like some of their platform. Still, there is a vast chasm between Libertarians and conservatives on many social issues and foreign policy.

    Gas and Diesel Prices

Given the very fragile economy currently existing, who believes there would be much expedite freight to haul if gas/diesel hits $7.00 per gallon? We have tens of millions of US citizens and businesses teetering on collapse at this very moment. Which entities would be purchasing our expensive...

    Libertarianism

Yes, the neocon label is a particularly vicious term used to denigrate the broader conservative movement generally, and certain conservatives specifically. It isn't a great leap to make word associations such as NeoCon/Neo Nazi. Of course, such connections are linguistic fantasy, but the...

Saddam Hussein - Not Bush Or Cheney - Was Telling The Truth

Can any US citizen be so twisted as to attempt establishing moral equivalency between a madman such as Saddam Hussein and a US president? Saddam Hussein had live human beings fed into a wood chipper feet first. Saddam Hussein had dissidents thrown off the roofs of tall buildings. Saddam...

    Obama's queer view of marriage

Today we hear the Obama administration has decided it will no longer defend the Defense Of Marriage Act (DOMA) signed into law approximately 15 years ago. The federal law known as DOMA defines marriage as being between one man and one woman. Moral confusion has its home in the Democrat Party...

The standards for military service aren't the problem. The problem is 75% not being able to meet minimum standards.

    The military-civilian "disconnect"

Politico.com has a headline article today on what our national defense leaders call the "disconnect" between our civilian population and US military personnel. It's a pretty good summary and hits the obvious points to be made. One statistic that jumped out was 75% of today's youth who are...

    Gas and Diesel Prices

Instability and uncertainty feed the oil speculators. The current turmoil in the Middle East could last a long time. It's going to be tough for the world economy to absorb another price shock for fuel. Let's hope things improve rapidly.

Libya protests: Gaddafi's son admits 'mistakes'

"Mo" is a mad man. President Reagan bombed Gaddfi's residence some 25 years ago as retaliation for bad acts. Since that narrow miss (Gaddafi's infant daughter was killed) Gaddafi has kept a lower profile. Still, he is widely believed to be irrational. The Libyan people most likely know Mo...
