    Speaking of White Glove.....

You seem to have missed a small point. No one was "advanced over Bob and Linda". They have made the informed decision to enjoy the lifestyle of running surface expedite with their furry loved one at their side. Good for them! WG does have it's downside: Expensive equipment, physical labor...

    Team rest

I believe this is a question about safety. If driver one feels that fatigue is affecting the safe performance of their driving abilities and driver two feels refreshed and ready to drive. Switch, regardless of hours. Keeping the most alert and safe driver behind the wheel at all times is...

Preferential Treatment for Expediter Services . . .

Thank you for making that point. I would add that most drivers who sign on with a fleet owner are completely clueless that they are taking advantage of anything; therefore, any ill feelings directed toward them is misplaced. It does seem that there are many reasons that it would be in the...

So you wanna be an expediter?

Since this is the Newbie's Paradise Forum I would like to point out some valuable lessons for Newbies to make note of: If you are going to fall behind on payments, call your creditor and try to negotiate terms before it is necessary for them to call you. If you are in constant contact...

Preferential Treatment for Expediter Services . . .

I must admit. I did my homework before making a decision to contact an owner who had a truck leased with Fed Ex. I fully understood the concept of White Glove and also understood that it was a privilege to be earned; therefore, it was set as a long term goal for my wife and I. Our plan was...

Preferential Treatment for Expediter Services . . .

My wife and I are very happy to be receiving special treatment and would have it no other way. *We are always the first truck dispatched with the highest pay. *The offer comes through on our special private issue blackberry so that none of the other trucks can see it. *We always enjoy a...

    More BS about Fatigued Drivers

That was kind of a tricky way to provide a link to a competing expediting forum. anywho That is complete and total nonsense and drivers should chose to "just say no". I will tell them that I am just to darn tired to be taking any surveys. After all, we all know that the real cause of...

    Winter's over. . . . NOT!

You are correct sir. This is a coast to coast run starting in CA and ending near Bordentown, NJ with several deliveries and pick-ups along the way. Unfortunately, I-70 was a necessary evil in accomplishing the overall goal without a major re-route.

    Winter's over. . . . NOT!

One day, when you are on layover and really, really, really bored. Get the chains out and give it a practice run. After you do it once, it will make sense. Learning on the side of the road, in a snow storm with vehicles splashing slush on you. Not fun.

    Winter's over. . . . NOT!

This was our April 18th spring day: 0800 I-70 east closed at x180 Vail, CO due to snow. 0930 Opened with chains required. 1000 I'm standing there admiring my shiny (never been used) tire chains ready to tackle the mountain. 1000 DOT drives up and shouts "take em off...

    New Scam!!

We took that exit once. I repeat "once!" It was a lonely feeling heading down that ramp and looking back up at all the other trucks continuing on and completely ignoring the sign. We could have used a good step scout on that one. Here is a suggestion Layshooter: Next time spray some...

    Welcome to my world.

    In order to determine if legal action should be taken, a cost analysis needs to be done. I have experience and can help with that: Cost of embarassment . . . . . . . . . $50.00 Cost of medical treatment . . . . . . .$600.00 Value of cute hispanic woman saying your "hot" . . . . . . . ...
