Good point. Verizon is famous for tricking you into contracts/service you dont want. So far there have been no customer reviews on Amazon for any one buying and then trying to connect on their existing plan. The in the box information indicates that Verizon software is included.

My first job (Stationary Store) was selling and demonstrating Sheaffer Fountian pens. The were about $25.00. It had a little snorkel that would come out and suck up the ink to refill. Ball point pens had just been invented but they were several hundred dollars.

Any one remember quill pens and ink wells? They were part of the required school supplies when I started school. Had to truge 2 miles in blinding snow storms.
