    Welcome to June, 2014

Slow? Not around here. The walleye are hitting, the catfish are hitting, the silver bass are hitting. The walleye will be good until mid August, then the perch pick up and they are good through duck season. The walleye pick back up again in late Oct. Slow? As to work, our plan was to be back...

OH YEAH! BP is running about 106/66 pulse is 58 Except for tonight, the BP is 93/58, pulse is 60 I thing it may be close to time to adjust my BP meds. Then again, fishing and spending time with friends, no stinky truck stops and no traffic jams MAY have an affect on things.

Mrs. Layoutshooter was VERY tired of my favorite chair. Can one imagine? It was worn, ragged, and PERFECTLY broken in. It was ONLY 20 years old, what's wrong with that? SO She talked me into a NEW CHAIR! A "local" chair, La Z Boy! Nothing like working with local businesses. For those who...

There was once the "Capris", Lou Christie, The Four Seasons and Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels. We put them all into a garage in Michigan, shook it up, poured it out, and out came "Tim Tam and the Turn ONs". They were a local "garage band" that often played at our school dances. Side note...

    Holy Christmas tree, Batman!

I had an appointment with my nutritionist on Friday. It was my first visit since she put me on my Styrofoam and freeze dried water diet. I had lost 14 pounds, in 8 weeks, on the same scale. My pants can no longer stay up on their own and I have had to dig out a smaller belt from years gone by...

Remembering the Iranian Hostage Crisis. (1979-1981).

The greatest threats to the lives and safety of the world's people's are their own governments. There need never be an outside threat, what is in your own yard is enough.

At the time, it was a PRIME assignment. VERY good duty. As it turned out, I too am happy. I WAS ticked when my wife stopped it, but, in the end, she was right. It was the norm to take your household goods for overseas assignments. Can you imagine just how hard it would be to staff overseas...

Remembering the Iranian Hostage Crisis. (1979-1981).

I had orders for Iran, and would have been there, had my wife not refused the assingment, which wives had the right of refusal. I knew, and worked with, several who accepted that assignment. We, NSA, and CIA, got all of our people out before it hit the fan. Carter knew we had pulled our people...

Hills? In South East Michigan? We did often ice skate to school in winter. Had lots of ice storms back then and school was not cancelled every time there was a hint of bad weather. Our cut off was 10" of snow, which was rare and I don't recall there ever being 10" of ice or rain...
