What we have here and what is used all to often here in the soapbox is a: False Equivalence is a logical fallacy which describes a situation where there is a logical and apparent equivalence, but when in fact there is none.

You just repeated my point. The family is looking for proof that a proper investigation was done the night there 17 year old son died from a gun shot wound.

At any event, it still doesn't excuse the original intent of the thread. Asking where is the outrage over a student being murdered where an arrest has been made and comparing it with the Trayvon Martin incident. It was a pathetic attempt of minimizing what is happening down in Florida.

Also, for the justice system to work, you must first have a person under arrest and charged before you can have a trial.
