It's multiple choice in Michigan as well. Many of the questions can be figured out with some common sense process of elimination. But, there are enough questions that require specific knowledge to mess you up if you don't study. And, yes, you will get a different test if you need a second try.

What works for me is spending time studying the manual right before you go in for the test. With the info fresh in your mind you should get it on the first try. Take it seriously though. It is a bit harder than the other tests.

Depreciation is what you're looking for Xig. I wouldn't be surprised to see this reversed at some point. The mileage deduction is meant for folks that use their vehicles incidentally in their work, not as the primary earning tool.
