Although I've heard most Sprinter transmissions give up by 500,000 miles or so, I have not heard that Sprinter engines are likely to fail as soon. This is a 2006 which probably the best year for Sprinter longevity and mileage. However, we'll see what she brings soon.

If you had a lot more cash, I'd drive her over for you to see... that's she's worth more!

Remember to allow 10 minutes or so between adjustments on the temperature dial.

I doubt really seriously that defrosting is a solution unless you have inches of ice on the coils. A quarter inch or so of ice on the coils is no problem functionally.
