Also does approved deadhead mean the driver has to call and get permission anytime the van moves empty? If so that is a pain that is not necessary if a good driver is in it. Would you or the driver be paying fuel?

As a driver I would not like it. Knowing I would accept any reasonable loads and be in service a large amount of time. I would not like the idea of making less when the carrier the van is leased to does not keep me busy. Should I driver be penalized if the carrier does not keep them busy?

I would not call anyone anything unless I have proof. The only thing you have said that can make it spam is no unsubscribe link. To demand they be fired when it could easily be a simple oversight is a little much imho.

It takes one second to delete an email. It takes much longer to worry and or complain about it and how they got an address. I have never understood the reasoning.

It is just advertising in general and not limited to the trucking industry. Look at almost anything advertised today and you can find them stretching the truth.
