Did that too....When I bypassed the whole system and connected directly from the van's battery to the house bank it blew. Nothing on the house bank was connected but the charging cable. So, the short has to be in the house bank battery(s), one or both...no hurry, I have a year left on 100%...

Nope, I'll give it a shot in the morn....but, no current will be flowing if I do dat.....on second thought, when engine is off, it disconnects the main battery from the house bank, doing the same thing....I think.....

I put the new ends on after this happened. Thought about charging them but they became flat due to no charge, due to blow fuse. I'll get it...there's always a way....try some more in the A.M. before I deadhead out of Fla....

Close.....I had the ol'meter out and went as far as bypassing my setup stright to the house bank. Pulled all wires and installed new ends. Checked wires all good no shorts that I could see with meter or eyes. Disconnected the invertor, still blowed fuse's. I guess one or both of those new...

30 amp...but like I said it has been used for some time and now this...I guess it could be shorted batteries.... They were blowing with no load, only charging....

Invertor started beeping due to low volts....Checked fuse, and it was blown. Put another one in and it blowed. Disconnected everything, hooked the charging cable up to vans battery to one house battery. Blown, so I hooked the cable up to other house bank, blew again. All batteries are less than...

I think he put them under the load. I've used two before to get the load past the wheekwells
