Did they actually tell you this? Did you ask how much time was alloted for this run? You asked for advice, but there is a lot you are not telling us.

The company may be bad, i dont know. 1300 miles straight thru is unsafe.... nobody says different. The issue is abandonment. You really need to have a lawyer look at the contract. The ramifications of abandonment are huge.

Did your lawyer tell you this? You did have your lawyer review the contract before you signed it, didn't you?

It's not their responsibility to come get it. It is up to you to take it to them.
