    So much choices......

Well that's all good and well, companies don't hire and the van doesn't really matter but other things do. Chef seems to forget that a lot of people get into this hobby and fail, many in new vans and trucks who can't afford the payment. A lot of them are desperate and come here to make money...

Using Hair for a drug test

So if you can cite a court cases where a decision was made to support your theory or have a lawyer's opinion to explain the difference between the constitution (and the relative SC cases) and US code than I can believe you. BUT because the SC ruled in 1942's Wickard v. Filburn case the feds...

    Way to go EPA!

Well it is. Look at it this way, if they accept the service and products without telling the provider this is not a good idea or fight to have something changed, then what complaints can be made about the end result. How many isle pumps are in place and running? I counted one out of the ten...

Here we go again, houses for $1 down

Dave, it is also the other way around, they get a degree and feel they deserve the big bucks without proving themselves.

Detroits Good Use of Taxpayer Funds....

Hey didn't know you cared. BUT if you look at Detroit as the model of the country of our near future, hate to break the news to you bucko but our country has turned into Detroit. As for the library, there is a point to be made that once the Library went off on their own by cutting out the...

Navy SEAL honored with warship bearing his name

Yes. The results of his actions illustrates a problem with leadership. Even though he did do something beyond what was expected after getting into trouble, his leadership led them to a point of no return and that trouble. Asking other members who you are leading is not leadership, making a...

    Way to go EPA!

I think the American Trucker is at fault for this to begin with. If they wouldn't settle for sub-standard services from truck stops and pull together as a group on the political front, and actually fight for things that don't have to do with charity but their livelihood then maybe some of...

1 more for the Welfare State Known as Detroit

maybe the programs offer nothing they see as beneficial? That is one of the biggest reasons why they don't take advantage of it - they see nothing beneficial. This is also why I said being a union town, higher education wasn't a priority for those who already have a job. Or they're held in...

Here we go again, houses for $1 down

And just who decides what is "above their means"? The lenders/banks should be the judge of that on the basis of good lending practices. IF we want to continue with this fallacy of the American dream is owning a house, then we have to take a serious look at who actually can and can NOT afford...

    So much choices......

Not to rain on your parade but you did this backwards. You should have first decide what you want out of this, then looked for a company that will fit your goals then get a van.

I not trying to poke you into commenting either way on this but when you mean cheaper to run, you talking about mileage/PM or insurance or road taxes?

    New air filters

Just take an OA sample before you put it on and than another one after 15k to see what the silica reading is. IF it is higher than the first OA, don't use the filter.

    Straight Truck Idea??

That's a good looking truck but what about this all important age of the truck rule at FedEx or is that one another 'exception to the rule' thing? Saw a Ford E350 with a 14 foot box, texas sleeper, single stack and a BIG wing on the cab this morning when I went out to pick up my Nissan test...

    Today's Fleet Owners

recent changes into airfreight security also 'forced' many carriers into sprinters expedite freight. I would think it is just the opposite, using vans may be a risk on the tsa radar due to the nature of their ability to hide or just disappear.

Here we go again, houses for $1 down

It is sad that our country is so stupid. We should have revolted in order to change our mortgage system to only allow conventional loans with the right amount down.

    Ron Paul

Crap Clinton? try again... try Carter and Reagan. It seems that even IF Clinton could be blamed for a lot, it was a republican congress who went along with it - Newt ring a bell? Congress has a direct say in these departments and organizations and it is easy to blame Clinton or Obama but...

1 more for the Welfare State Known as Detroit

What does being unionized have to do with the incentive to better oneself? Apparently you never worked around union shops. Until recent job cuts, many in the automotive industry was happy with not going to school or learning new skills as a whole. The mindset was and still is that they don't...

Using Hair for a drug test

That's odd, the constitution says they can regulate interstate commerce - which the drug test is applied to those who hold a DOT authority as an interstate transporter. NO where in the constitution does it say that government can't regulate interstate trucking or the jobs related to it.
