Wow! Not rewarding big business with tax breaks for shipping jobs overseas. What a novel concept. I doubt it will happen as most of those big business' have a Senator or two working on there behalf (at least until November)to keep craziness like this from happening.

You have to save a least one item on that to do list for the next time. That way you will always be needed.

Delivered in Laredo on Monday evening. Stopped at the T/A for a shower. Wait time was 312 minutes:eek:. So we DH'ed to San Antonio. Picked up in Pasadena on Tuesday, delivered in NC on Wednesday evening. Now at the T/A in Whitsett.

I met a driver in Laredo on Monday who told me he had not gone 36 hours without a load in 5 months. He stated that his fleet owner paid 40 cents a mile to the truck regardless of the rate offered, so they just accept everything. I guess the fleet owner is not worried about being profitable.

Did you have the rear axle(s) aligned? An out of alignment rear axle will cause the truck to pull to one side and cause uneven tire wear.
