Wow that's a pretty tall order. I somehow doubt that the company you describe (in full) actually exists....but we can always hope now, can't we??;);)

Thanks for the link Turtle. The download that I spoke of is for TomTom AFTER you buy the product so it's useless to anyone but TomTom owners.

Hi Rocketman...I would go with something a little more high end and this is why (bear with me): We started with a Garmin Streetpilot 6 years ago. It was the mac-daddy at the time. Worked great for a little over a year and then started freezing up on us. It was still under warranty with Comp USA...

But darn isn't that a great phone!!! All in all me thinks I'll stay with Verizon and go with the ipod touch, same concept without the phone.

That phone service 4 thing is what bothers me. I really like our Verizon service and would hesitate to change. I've been looking at the new Ipod Touch mp3, many of the features that the Iphone has including wifi but without the phone. They come with 8,16, or 32 GB and I'm thinking that's all I'd...

    Dock high required

It could be something as simple as the person that called the load in was inexperienced in everything that goes on at the docks. When we were still working in shipping, one of our guys worked on Sat. and called Panther to come and get the load. He'd seen Panther pick up their product a cazillion...

    Dock high required

"But when we open that overhead door it gets so very cold in here"!! :( Guess they'd rather pay more for a larger vehicle whether they need it or not....pretty lame.

    Hazmat ?

I just don't "get" why any company would expect you to agree to a load without all of the pertinent information. When we arrive at a shipper, if the load is not as the shipper said it would be, i.e. hazardous or overweight for the class load it was offered at, we simply don't leave the dock...

    What are they thinking?!

I like this idea the best, seems the safest way to go.....Fed Ex, are you reading this???

    What are they thinking?!

Sounds like a lot of hassle for a device that STILL requires your full concentration to use. Call me old fashioned or whatever but I still believe the best way is to pull over, whether it be clink or phone (unless you're using a hands free device). I've seen far too many "drifting" vehicles and...
