However, the gist of the link is that he was an illegal, not that he was drunk. Even if he was legal, he was drunk. Therefore , not a red herring....imho, of course. ;)

I will agree it doesn't get very good millage.

My point is, the 4700 should do just fine for him..... get another, maintain it properly, it should last 300 - 400 k miles if not more.

That truck and engine should serve you just fine.... only 140k leads me to think a lack of preventative maintenance was done .
