I think you should be able to find a 12'er. Its also my opinion that every inch inside a van is valuable.

Not worth the paper its printed on when your the one behind the wheel. It will help to protect your assets if one of your drivers has a wreck. If you personally have a wreck, forget it.

What kind of trucks do you have? Specs? It's very likely that if your trucks were built as local/regional delivery trucks, they are not spec'd out right to do this kind of work anyway. Fuel mileage is the first concern. You need to be capable of 9mpg minimum or you would be better off trading...

If money is an issue, you could have an Espar installed now, then start saving for the Onan and roof air. The Tripac is imo the best APU. It comes with an Espar for heat. It does seem though, that those who have the Onan/rooftop setup are the most satisfied with their purchase.

With the 6 speed automatic in the GM, your best bet imo is going to be the 3.73 gear ratio. With the 6 sp, your going to have power and fuel economy. I think you can get it with a 3.42, but I'm told that is a little too weak on the gearing and the 6 sp "hunts" for the correct gear too much...

I think the GM, spec'd right will get as good and probably better mpg than the Ford. Ive never had the opportunity to get one of those discounts, but if they are as good as Ive heard, it would be a no brainer imo.
