    General sprinter rearend question

Great tip on parts!...hoping to not need gears, took only a squirt out of the bottle to top up, I noticed it quickly...they either forgot the seals or didn't torque the bearing nuts to 369 they told me it took a whole day (no special tools on hand?)

    General sprinter rearend question

Terse reply. :D thanks for the vote on rearends being good, no experience with these yet . . . I'll continue to slow down just enough for comfort lest I get rear-ended by T.O. drivers. . . rearend was fine before they touched it I just want people to do what they say they are going to been...

    General sprinter rearend question

Spent some quality time with the sprinter service manual. Only way I can see them failing is wrong seals or installed wrong, I know they replaced them, the used ones were in the box of old parts I got back . . . hope the bearings actually were OK after they pressed them on and off that might do...

    General sprinter rearend question

Are they fairly strong? Do I need to slow down for railroad tracks? Trying to figure out how a shop could change backing plates and screw up the seals... I could have done it at the side of the road and it would have been fine... Never had an issue with leaking axle seals even at a million miles...

Why does a Sprinter put me to sleep

Almost makes me want to buy a Quattro again for a project car. You can still see them under tarps throughout my area (almost, but not quite :D)

    April has sprung!

Driving the couch to bed again . . . for those in that situation, I present to you "Big Mac vs molten copper" As pointless as my wasted time due to a shops botched van repair

A message to brokers and carriers.

I don't know about the US but if I stay under 10000 in Canada I could hang a sign and put a hundred vans on the road tomorrow...

Why does a Sprinter put me to sleep

I'm thinkin now it's empty ride comfort. My other vans, potholes when empty sounded like a sledgehammer on a barrel, white knuckle waiting for wheels to fly off...no matter how long I was driving the fear factor was pretty energizing (Edit: based on fact, I've had too lower balljoint...

Cargo Van Proposal to Carrier group.

I just do my best and let dispatch argue. You're not going to change what anybody thinks, if they haven't done what we do, they don't get it. Today I was on a "MUST BE THERE BY 8 AM!" And I waited 30 min for it to load because of shift change, and it was sent to a wrong address, different town...

    New Sprinter scan tool

Tool is excellent. Able to read general emissions (egr) as well as specific MB modules. Warning: not user friendly, most advanced functions like communicating with TCM are found thru selecting a different mercedes SUV not available under the sprinter setting. It was able to clear a HZR module...

Why does a Sprinter put me to sleep

Is it the soothing drone of the 2.7 diesel? Is it the gentle lulling motion as the wind rocks me? The soft seats and comfortable driving position? Or do I have an exhaust leak? 6 hours today and I was getting sleepy. Same last 2 days. Just wondering, I'll read responses later I need a nap
