Ken, I'm not sure the increase in speed limits is such a bad thing, at least for cars. For you and me, of course; my van loses 4 MPG at 75-80 compared to 65. For a car, it's more of a tradeoff. The average Rapid Citian would gladly lose 2 MPG to save an hour on a once-every-six-month trip to see...

The original Airport was a straight up suspense drama, and quite a good movie. The others were schlock; unfortunately the Seventies had more than their fair share of crap in movies, music, you name it. Airplane was a sendup of the whole Airport franchise; it was hilarious, IMHO.

When you scale, make sure to split the van fairly evenly between the first two plates on the scale, so that you have weights for each axle. You might find the van will handle better if you move some of your stuff rearward. Since I put the spare tire underneath the van where it belongs, my weight...
