Last time I spoke with them they told me to call at 7 am. That is when it is the slowest for them. I would call a few minutes before 7 because of all the prompts you have to go through.

Always go with the biggest and longest type vehicle. Reason being the more capacity you have the more opportunities you will have. Some carriers want you to be able to carry 3 skids, some 2 skids. My carrier wants me to have at least a 3 skid availability. They don't make gas Sprinters...

Just stay there. There is a lot of freight that comes out of that area as well.

On I20 on the southeast side of town there is a Flying j on one side of the freeway and a TA on the other side. Kinda of a rough area but it works. IMO the TA is better saftey wise (better security). Now if you park at the j make sure everything is latched and locked and windows up when not...

As this is the 4th qtr. (the money qtr) things are going like they should but this has been an unusual year for freight. Up and down and all around as they say. No telling how the new year will be. Just my opinion.
