At my last carrier the QC was actually no better then using the phone for tracking as theirs is internet based and not satilite ... no phone service no QC so in theory CRE and PTLs could be said better because of no $30.00 fee for no service... ;) XPO was actually better is was satilite based...

IF you were strip down empty you might weigh 5,000 lbs but I highly have doubts... get a FULL tank of fuel , all your traveling items stay in van yourself and scale the van...and am betting you’d be at least 5800-6100 lbs ... your door...

2500 is ok in about 50% of sprinters There is not a SINGLE wheel sprinter made that can handle 3500 lbs

so with all the biggie bucks you made doing heavy haul...you should go with the NEW one....if you persist with the heavy stuff you'll soon need a transmission and a brake job...
