    and team driver #3

That's a good one OVM. I would think crunching the numbers that a single would do better in a Sprinter or C/V than a team. Unless it was a steady run. It would be hard enough to do it with a spouse. I have been running team the last couple of weeks with my driver because of a couple of west...

    Sprinter PM results

Don't know how bad your rust problem is but they sell stuff called rust remover, rust killer or something like that in the Auto parts stores that sell body repair stuff. You brush it on and leave it for awhile then wash it off. I've used it and it works well. About $7 bucks for a small can...

    Hi there

We stopped for a break and I saw this and thought how funny. I should be careful because my driver is reading this, but he mentioned a raise maybe I could call him an "Extended Engineer". Welcome to the funny side of trucking.:D

    Sprinter PM results

OVM, So it looks to be about 10c a mile for maintenance this year. Really less than that since doing an A/C job. That's good. Gregs 750,000 is also great. Do you think that kind of success and overall miles can be done with hired drivers???

    Portable Generator?

Most of them will take about 800-900watts to start. Starting is where your heaviest usage is. Once it starts and cycles it will cut back. It depends on which on you have. If you look at the spec sheet that comes with it, it will tell you. It should cut back to about 3-400 watts while just...

    Portable Generator?

asjssl, That's a good idea, beats dragging it out every time you stop. I have the same generator. You need an Aluminum box. How bout sending a picture of the inside of the door that it hangs on. I have a couple of diamond plated aluminum box's but probably will have to frame in steel to...

    Portable Generator?

Your not a dumb girl to ask that. I question the mechanics of some guys. To me if your running a Honda, buy Honda parts, that way there is no question it will work and work safely. You sure don't want to wake in the middle of a good sleep smelling gas or ????? Be safe.

    Would real expediters?

I have stated the issues that I have with Tom Tom and that I'm going to try a Garmin. Well I have tried the Garmin on the trip that I'm on now. While I'm trying to make up my mind about what type truck I'm going to get for myself I have run a couple of runs to the northwest running double...

    Portable Generator?

Number one the answer is yes. They call them "Battery Maintainers." If your going to run that large of a generator why not run the roof unit direct and save the battery's? Matter of fact I believe the 2000 watt generator will run everything. The roof unit will use a lot when starting and...

    The Inevitable Begins

That's a good point. Lot of heavy finger pointing without any facts. I also have a 45 with a hair trigger and I have to hide it in order to keep it from going off prematurely.;)

    Slow Cargo Van Freight Toledo-Detroit

I also agree. I have been wanting to buy a new C/V and have been wanting a Cargo Max but I've been kind of nervous about the economy and fuel prices. They say freight is still strong but the high fuel prices are going to slow the freight down eventually. I am running double with my driver on...

    Lying Again :(

He also made the statement that our refinery's are producing more gas then ever before. That's an outright lie. We are producing right now 4.5 billion a month, in 1970 we produced 9 billion. You can tell he's lying because he smiles whenever he says something. Just think what will happen...

Real Expediters Do NOT Use GPS...

The way you posted the first question I believe it looked as though you were driving for someone. I guess we got a little confused. I guess that's why we're lost most of the time.!!

International 4400 won't start right away?

clicking sound I believe is a hot relay. It's the small silver looking fuses in the box. They get hot and won't kick back. That is just with the key in the on position. If your starting it and get clicking its the starter.

Real Expediters Do NOT Use GPS...

That makes the most sense of all. But to the owner of that rig your driving, I wonder how many miles and how much money he's thrown away running extra miles being lost??? And again if your paying for the fuel, you should invest in GPS.
