Moose, You would be surprised at how many truckers don't get the fuel surcharge that the shippers pay. Some of this fuel money ends up in some broker's poket. I looked into it a while ago, and some of the larger carriers will not even talk to you. You have to be in business for so many years, you have to have a certain amount of trucks, etc. Not easy.

I wish my company would reimburse me for tolls. I would turn in the receipts in a heart beat. But, I can't complain, I am getting better rate per mile without being reimbursed than many that do.

Yesterday down here in Laredo I was talking with a FedEx guy and he mentioned that FedEx will be back to percentage pay for vans shortly. Is this true? Anyone knows any details?
