    About the pre trip test.

That's a good thing starting spot. I was a CDL instructor for our company way back when they first came out. Myself and 5 other drivers were designated trainers. One thing we taught on the pre-trip was touch everything you can when inspecting. Put on a pair of gloves at your starting point...

new problem with sprinter (Moved from Sprinter Threads)

You know when those Sprinters come off the boat in S.C they are in a box on top of the frame. They then run down the assembly line where they used to build fire trucks. I would check to make sure they connected the ground wire cables to the frame. That one cable can reek havoc on an...

    Another reason to visit...

Oh yeh those were the days. I'll bet that old GMC has a screeming 8V-71 with back port manifolds and N-70 injectors and the timing been advanced a point. I'm getting carried away. Old Kysor A/C on the top was an ad on they weren't out when that truck was built.

new company driver thinking of buying Sprinter

Sometimes it's the ease of loading at a tight place and same unloading. But that would be somewhat rare. The only thing different from the straight truck is the 10mpg average compared to the 6-7 in a rig and the price of a license plate. Maybe insurance as well. But then again if your...

    U-Drift

Hey Bob and Linda. Still enjoying your new rig?? Something you said about taking more time to get your truck producing income. I know what you mean. It's a tough decision to make one type from another, usage vs. options of comfort and all. Then when you make up your mind you still have to...

new problem with sprinter (Moved from Sprinter Threads)

Maybe one of you Sprinter owners can tell me if Sprinter has an Extended Warranty program like other trucks?? If so I haven't heard of anyone on here ever having one.

    Express 1 Buyout

I have not been to Laredo lately but my driver has. Something I did see and has been on my mind, when I was last there I saw 3 C/Vans parked in the back with no lettering. Pretty beat up rigs also. Anyway the 3 drivers were inside all speaking Spanish. I thought it was a little wild the way...

I would not own a truck w/out them. Everything Turtle stated plus helps keep the back door clean in the winter. Really helps when truckers blow by you.
