DRW Box Van under 10,000K and DOT?

Your plan is a good one. I would love to start a thread that highlights the perfect specs of one of these cube vans. I'm concerned that it would get so out of hand that the information would be clear as mud...lol

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

I would suggest you do some research before buying the bully dog. I remember comments being very unfavorable, especially for bullydog. Most recommend a custom tune for your specific vehicle. The only handheld, out of the box tuner Ive seen recommended was the Diablo Predator. Even then, a custom...

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

If I remember correctly, someone offered a Cold Air Intake kit for the gm trucks (no fit for the van) that used a dry, high flow filter. If that company offered a drop in filter for the vans, that would be an option as well. The biggest complaint coming from K&N users seems to be oil issues with...

Westmicher's New XLT 10 Project Begins!

The research Ive done tells me that most of the later model vehicles have a decent intake tube from the factory. Thats why I just dropped in a K&N filter. Dennis is correct, its pretty much impossible to find a complete intake kit for the vans. I think its a combination of small market plus a...

DRW Box Van under 10,000K and DOT?

To the orginal post, I wouldnt recommend that particular unit. As mentioned the dual wheels will hurt fuel mileage and add weight. That body is a heavy too. The extra size would be great if you didnt have the negatives of weight and duals that come with it. I would suggest you educate yourself...

What To Do When Things Go Wrong

Rich, if you wouldnt be offended by it, your post would require very little modification to be acceptable in the general forum. You make some great points. I think it would be seen by more people there.

What To Do When Things Go Wrong

Good post. My last load was one of those where everything that could go wrong, did. I'm not sure who was to blame. I'm fairly confident that I wasn't the blame or anyone at my company (dispatchers mainly). Some of it was pretty aggravating. "When" I can keep my wits about me, I just remind...

    How qualifications differ

John, I inderstand that it's a technical issue... but, I don't trust the IRS to overlook a technical error...if they deemed at as an error. Obviously they don't or haven't had a problem with it so far. I think it's just one of those things that has always been done so everybody accepts it as...

My day keeps gettin better....they got the freight ready....too wide. Ive got 49-3/4" width for freight...their freight was 48" wide...before they wrapped 2x4's around it for air freight...lol. So, we angled it in...worked out. Now, I'm stopped waitin on dispatch's call....they think Ive got...

So...I get to the shipper....they havent even started on the load..lol. Guy in shipping doesnt even know about it. "OH, I bet that's the air freight. We'll have to band that up and get it ready, I'll come get ya when we get it ready." Gotta love "logistics"...lol Pickle wagon update?

    How qualifications differ

I didnt have any problems with Load One either. I do despise filling out an application for employment when I am a contractor. All companies do that and personally, I think it exposes them to the IRS employer vs contractor issues. Its just my opinion obviously. Seems like an easy fix to me. As...

Now rescheduled for noon. Funny how they tend to call just enough ahead of time to prevent detention charges. So, any verdict yet on the pickle transporter?
