    i need help

Try going to the top left tab labeled "Find Jobs" under the expediteronline logo on this page. Randomly start calling each company. You will find that most will not have what you are looking for. However, ask for directions to someone who might have what you are looking for. The couple...

    Deer Are Pests

Considering honey bees are domesticated by man it probably is a man-made problem. And if mosquitoes are the pollinators responsible for helping mountain cedar in its trek, it's one more reason for eradication. Remove Frosted Flakes from the cereal isle, and the cereal isle doesn't get...

    Deer Are Pests

The vast majority of creation has gone extinct but creation continues to adapt and continue. So my vote is still eradication of the parasites. eb

    Deer Are Pests

Shooter, I saw a deer trapped on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge in Louisiana. That one is raised and moated. I would still rather see moquitoes, ticks, and chiggers made extinct before deer. eb

    deer strike survey

Seems to be a lot of first hand experiences with deer strikes this season. Would those involved or those knowing some of the details be willing to share some of the nonpersonal details like time of day, visibility, type of roads, at what point did the driver first see the deer...? eb

cd, How does the back feel? Going to make it? I sometimes think the people hit the hardest physically in this business are those who start out fitter, and more active than average. My doctor chuckled when I answered--I'm on track to being in the worst shape of my life. eb

    Qualcomm Charges

I make money off fsc, but regardless, it's still a matter of how much money you and they make at the end of the day. If the qc cost is such a deal breaker then why work with that particular company? It's the owner's decision to live with. eb

    Qualcomm Charges

And the companies are probably saying that drivers are using fsc as a cash cow. It goes both ways. When the totals don't add up, that's when you renegotiate, walk, or live with it. It doesn't hurt to study these things, just don't lose sleep over it. eb

    pay rate question?

I prefer percentage. Percentage gives me the ability to attempt to keep my overall rate within a certain range. With a fixed rate I'm stuck with what the rate is. At a fixed rate the carrier has little incentive to raise the fixed rate until they can't keep drivers. On percentage, pain and...

Amount of hours aloud to run in a CV?

Depends on the company. It's a common topic. One of the major points of the current discussion is that that particular company won't notify the driver of a required swap until after the load is loaded and en route. You have to know how their system works and pretty much expect a long load to...

John, I have not seen the truck nav system, but even as a vanner I might be interested. Reason being. Dispatch should be able to see even before the load comes to me that an address is bad. I get my load, try to load address in gps, but no match, so I'm on my computer going through my map...

Did I pass one of us today (Saturday) on I-70 (mm 140ish) between Terre Haute and Effingham? I was going west, and tri-state sprinter with airtabs was heading east. I set a personal record this week. For one pick up and delivery it took six addresses before the job was done. At one point the...
