    Good bye

Can I ask why you're leaving, or would you rather talk about in a PM?

    Kepping Our Fingers Crossed!

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. Jus' sayin'. BTW, my bride and I were wed in Vegas the better part of 12 years ago. In my book, anything over 0% is a high divorce rate. How's your town faring?

That lap you did around the RV lot almost made your VuQube fall off last night. Not so covert there, biscuits. But what do I know? I'm just a sheeple. Funny on the book. And Reno is HOT. You pick which one.

Not sure I'd call it a shakedown,Guido, but that's our Field Safety Liaison, Terry O'Connell. He regularly performs inspections of vehicles in the FECC fleet. He did one on ours at that same location. Not sure if he's aware that Turtle's on the payroll, though.

Reno, Nevada, after another stellar month. Happy as a hog in poop we're in this gig. Now the big question: do I deadhead east or west? Not many trucks in Cali right now, and Donner is open. Got 24 hours to think it over.........getting the valve lash adjusted in the AM on my MBE 900 with...

Laredo, Texas, keeping TJ's parking spot warm. Funny you mention that stretch of I29, OVM. I ran that a couple of times the last few weeks. Knocking on wood, we have been usually running at least 24 hours after significant snowfalls for the last 2 months.

Covert a class 8 tractor to straight truck

Thanks for the reply, Andrew. My only holdup is finding someone to stretch a sleeper. I want it all.

Covert a class 8 tractor to straight truck

Can you register for the next higher weight class? What I mean is this: Andrew says he has a 24k truck empty. Can I register for higher to meet my carrier's 13k# requirement for my size truck?

We're in Edmonton, Alberta. Thought we were the only ones crazy enough to take a load here, but there have been 2 more D units show since we got here! First one back to the border wins!

    The MBE 900

I appreciate the input thus far, and will toss this out again: My wife and I stay out for months at a time. Class 8 tractors can be had for a song right now. Am I crazy for thinking someone can stretch a factory condo sleeper 2 feet to give us something comfortable to live in on the road? The...

    The MBE 900

Bear with me, I am fighting a nasty cold, so what I am trying to ask may not be clear. Here's to hoping it is: I have an '05 M2 106 with 4 squirrels.........an MBE 900 rated at 250 hp. As Leo has stated in previous posts, I should be thankful for any mileage past 400k on this engine. I'm...

    Would you work for this.

Thanks for clarifying, Leo. And as usual, very well said, Dave. I'm writing a post in truck talk that I'd like both yours and Davekc's input on (and anyone else's).

    Would you work for this.

Bruno: CEO's may not take off 12 weeks a year, but are probably compensated way better, and do not sleep in a truck....much less one that is moving. You're comparing apples to alligators. Leo: You say your teams agree to 75% in service, and 67% acceptance. I sat in the Indy express center in...

Dallas area, along with the rest of the fleet......I think. May be here a day or two. 60's, though, and no salt to wash off Clementine. No complaints except the lack of revenue.
