    Dodge Sprinter

Well if they don't want to believe someone who has been a van o/o for close to 20 years then I guess they want to learn for themselves. If that's the case why ask a question if you will only accept one answer? Go ahead with what you believe. It won't take long reading here to discover that most...

anyone help me with new career

Here is a list of things I think others and myself would reccomend you do before jumping in and making any big decisions. 1. Read back about a year in the General,Newbie,Newbie Faqs,Truck Talk, and Recruiter forums. Read the ones that the title grabs your attention. This will help you ask...

    almost time for nascar

Last year I think it was the 2nd race, they were out in California and Jr's car broke down. He got out and bowed, and I turned off the tv and went fishing. If my driver isn't in it, I'm not watching it. Unless there is nothing else to do then I'll cheer for Mark Martin or for Kasey Kane to lose.

    2000 miles a week in a van

I didn't mean you hauled emus in your van. I meant I figured you got in on the ground floor of expedite with your first van.You know ground floor meaning when it was getting started. I know it was a bad example. I would say so sue me, but some may take it seriously. Remember it's the redneck...

    This takes the cake!

I've heard that alot of older people tend to get kind of stubborn after having a heart condition, especially a heart attack. My father in law told me he has seen it happen in many people. Some even turning into down right rude people. I'm not saying your father is rude. My father in law named...

    This takes the cake!

Moot, You don't know how much I needed that. Today has been a rough day. I had my driving privledges back for 2 weeks, and had a seizure today and got them yanked for another year. After all of that your reply has me laughing my @$$ off.

    Flatbeds

I really didn't know because I thought I saw a FDCC truck pulling a drop deck awhile back. I also thought Panther had a flatbed division.

    Double Clutch or Not?

Correct me if I'm wrong Piper. Lets say you are shifting from 1st to 2nd gear. The first time you clutch is actually to disengage 1st gear, and then the 2nd time you clutch is to engage 2nd gear? Or is that wrong? It always had me confused.

    2000 miles a week in a van

Terry, I'd like to ask you a question. Would you say that expediting, especially in a cargo van/sprinter, is one of those deals where people have watched others make money in the past and now alot of people have jumped in and flooded the market? Let me compare it to something else. Emus...

    Double Clutch or Not?

I was always told double clutching would wear your clutch out faster. Go figure. All the mechanics I've ever talked to always told me unless you were constantly grinding the gears it was alright to float the gears. I guess it depends on your style. Some may not agree with me. I've never known...

    Daytona

I was sure hoping Jr. was going to win. Of course I hope that every race. I thought it was kind of funny that none of the Frenchies even qualified for the race today. DW said there were more Indy 500 winners in the Daytona 500 this year than there will be in the Indy 500. Go figure.

Big Sleepers and 34 Hour Restarts

So if you go by the house under a load and stay for 34 hours or more it's not a resart? I did that a bunch of times. Good thing I never got caught. Of course I didn't know I was doing anything wrong.

    Working to hard

hondaking, all I know is your carrier can't penalize you for your military commitments. I'm sure you know that. It's part of the Solider's and Sailor's relif act. I guess Airmen and Marines are just screwed. Just kidding, every branch is covered.

I borrowed mine from a picture in my advisors office when I started school I looked at it and it made alot of sense to me. So I makke it my sig. She also has another sign that says "Jamacian Me Crazy" but I don't like it as well as the one I currently use.

dont worry about spelling errors on eo anymore.

Cheri, What does that have to do with anything? I mean what you said is kind of funny. Guess I'm just not making the connection. Oh well.

dont worry about spelling errors on eo anymore.

This seems to have gone from a funny thread to begin with to out of hand kind of quick. I just checked my rating. Someone said I was terrible to. Funny thing about it is the person who did it never pm's me and I never pm them. I guess they just decided I was terrible. I think I will give that...

Using Freight Brokers and UShip for back loads.

With Panther you 85% of what the load pays. It doesn't matter if it is higher or lower than the contract amount. Why do all brokered loads have to be cheap? I know people that do nothing but haul broker loads, and they make a pretty good living.

I guess you could also say a Rhodes Scholar is someone who graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis. It's a very expensive private university.

I had no problems either, but of course I can't spell worth a flip to begin with.

    Flatbeds

I guess there aren't any expedite companies that deal in flatbeds.
