Bolt express is a freaking joke...ruining our business

Are they ready to pull in each and every van that doesn't have windows? How do they differentiate between over the road vehicles and the work van owned and driven to jobs by an electrician or plumber, or the van used as a personal vehicle by someone? The way I see it, the regulations wouldn't...

    more info on bolt

I just assume that when a driver tells me he's ready to go anywhere, that part of that being ready is having the fuel money to go anywhere.

Bolt express is a freaking joke...ruining our business

I was about to make a very sarcastic reply to your previous post.

The way I see it, an advance is something some carriers do out of the goodness of their hearts, or for a profit as appears to be the case there, but I don't believe it is something that should be expected out of a carrier. A carrier doesn't owe a driver squat until after a load is delivered.

    Dumb things dispatchers have said

I have had some dumb things said to me by dispatchers, and I have said dumb things to drivers I was dispatching. It's not that hard to blurt out something stupid when you're trying to keep track of so many trucks.

    Shocking news

I just heard last night, and I heard this in a truck stop, so you know it has to be true, that two very shocking things happened recently. 1. A couple loads were double brokered last week. 2. And here's the really shocking thing. I hope you are sitting down. One of them was a two skid...

    Any loads out of atlanta?

A good amount of freight moved out of there today. I guess it depends on how many trucks your carrier has there.

    Who gets the first out?

I'm thinking along your lines. By putting that load on the Sprinter, I maximize my chances of moving both units on the same day. I was interested in seeing some other opinions.

    Who gets the first out?

I have two units arriving at the same location this evening. One is a large straight with a team that will be there by 10:00 pm and the other is a solo in a Sprinter that will be there at 1:00 am. Assuming all drivers sleep until morning, how would you advise I handle the following situation...

Bolt express is a freaking joke...ruining our business

Those big carriers had to start somewhere, and most of them were where I am at one point. How did they grow to where they are today?

    Sprinter, straight truck, money, questions

Right place, right time. We had a bit of luck last week. Every time that truck dropped out, there was another load within hours. A solo could not have done that because of HOS.

vans, where do you usually park??

I park anywhere with a clear view to the south so I can get a signal from my satellite dish. That usually isn't a problem at most of the truck stops or Wal Mart stores.

    Sprinter, straight truck, money, questions

I run a Sprinter as a solo, and I have a straight truck team team leased on. Last week was kind of a fluke where I ran more miles than they did, but most of the time I can get a load for that straight, just about anywhere in the country, faster than I can get a load for myself. I burn half the...
