The high idle in a modern sprinter will not keep dpf problems away, it might postpone them but it won't prevent them. I second what scott says, do not idle a modern diesel engine. Invest in a generator etc it will save you money in the long run.

Your best bet is to get it to a dealer and have the computer check done. It could be anything from a bad sensor to your window being open to far.

The problem isn't here alone, mexico needs to fix it's economy. Until that happens they will come and find cash jobs. A wall will still be needed. Everything isn't always our fail alone

Never tried that gen but just some info. If you read reviews ryobi seems to have a parts problem. It took me two months to get the pull cord assembly replaced. Question if the ryobi worked that well for you why not another one. Buy one get the other repaired and keep it as a spare?

Two things, you don't want cheap insurance you want the right Insurance. Secondly steady work is not very common in the van market, even with cheaper rate companies there is never a gaurentee of steady work. I just saw 3 RJR sprinters set in laredo for 5 days. Not uncommon with any company.

Of course you use things in conjunction with a wall. No one expects a wall to be put up and nothing else. That's kind of like someone saying Walls don't work thinking saying it enough will make it true.
