Are diesel CVs really worth it?

Hmm, that means that Ford was worse than the Sprinter as far as filters availability. I never bought any of my filters for my Sprinter at the dealer. Sure, you cant walk in walmart and get them, but I buy them online. $6 for an oil filter, $25 for the fuel filter, about $20 for the air filter.

    Phones Cell phone carriers

I don't have Verizon, but they should be just as good, if not better than AT&T in terms of coverage. Keep in mind that all companies will have a dead spot here and there. Something else to consider, with 4G you will burn up more data.

    Canada FAST card

Harry, what company did you go with? I'm asking cause I got my fast card back in 2005 and I have never done a fast load yet with Panther, FedEx, and Landstar. Waste of money for me. And I've done a fair amount of Canada loads.

I hooked a pretty good one today, and I fought with it, and I fought with it, but no luck. Just could not land it. Had to give up on it, one foot too long. :(

Are diesel CVs really worth it?

Different strokes for different folks. For me, I will never own anything less than a diesel. Yes, it is true that initial cost is higher, diesel costs more per gallon and maintenance is a bit more than on a gasser (the maintenance is still debatable, when you think about the twin turbo on the...

    Hyundai long tall van

Interesting. No mention of gasoline engine or automatic transmission. The engines available are 2 versions of a 4 cylinder, 2.5 liter turbo diesel and manual transmissions. I bet if they make their way over here they will stick a wimpy gasoline engine in it and an auto transmission.

    Driver accused of abandoing truck

Something definitely stinks about the whole story. He picket the load up on the 20th of August in Arkansas and the company wanted it delivered the next day in Washington? That is 1800+ miles away. Were they trying to make him drive illegally and he asked for more money to do it? And why did...

Cheap Fright Say NO to cheap Fright

The problem is that what you consider cheap freight is not the same as I consider cheap freight. Someone with a fuel efficient vehicle and a little bit of planning could keep more money in his pocket from a cheap load than someone with a 10 mpg gas guzzler from a better paying load. Get used to...

    Continuous DEF Problems with Sprinters

Same here, but mine is a lot younger, only 645,000 miles. It was my mistake though, because 40k miles prior I replaced the belt tensioner with an aftermarket one that just locked up . I did not have a spare with me (first tensioner lasted about 300k, so I did not think I would need one that...

    commercial plates?

That may be true, however, none of the companies I have been with (Panther, FedEx, Landstar) required commercial plates for my Sprinter. They were just fine with the regular passenger licence plate.
