    August locations and banter

I agree....to a point. I dont trust the QC to send an urgent msg. There has been too many times that Ive been waiting on load info and not get it. Call in and find out the dispatcher sent the info out 15-20 minutes ago, but QC hasnt got it to me yet. If Im at a shipper or reciever needing info...

A nice pic of the 2014 Ford Econoline replacement

The van in the picture wouldn't. The longer, taller version most likely will. As far as I know we haven't seen any actual dimensions yet. You pretty much need 12 ft of cargo length and 6 ft of cargo height to get Sprinter rates.

Met an owner op who does some interesting things

Bad part is...it's the opposite. I don't know how many times I drove right past the driveway at the yard before I finally learned it...lol. I still miss the back entrance nearly every time. That's Logisitcs! Making John proud! :D

Actually, I think you and Zorry took me wrong. I think the OP is BS'ing.

    Battery Help

I can play with what I have now a bit and see if I want to do it that way. Yep, I understand the transfer switch. Actually had that explained to me by an RV guy a while back. He and I just didn't get into the multiple charge sources to the auxillary battery. Using that switch though, I would...

I agree. But I would start with everyone who has replied to this thread :D

New Plant for Morgan body in SC

I've been inspected several times in a straight truck. I don't remember them EVER looking at the door tag?

Don't you guys get it? He just doesn't intend to let it die. He's moved on, but he's going to be sure this thread gets bumped back to the front on a regular basis.

Adding living quarters to a box truck

Pearlpro has a point. I always relate it to trucking, but since your likely never going to have anyone sleeping in that area while moving, it might be possible to not have a solid divider at all. I'm not sure what the regs would be on just having some beds in the cargo area. You could hang a...

Best Starting battery for a gm van.

Sounds like the Qc will stay as it is then. Never considered that exact reason, but thought there might be a reason to have it wired to the ignition. So, no problem...and at least now I have some justification for an AGM :) The Sirius/xm and the gps have never been a problem while on the...

    Ready for a change !

Welcome! Get your cash together first...if you haven't already. That will be the single best thing you can do to make your transition a smooth one. There are plenty of threads on the subject. I think it's more important every day out here.

New Plant for Morgan body in SC

You can register for any weight you like, just like you have with your truck...at least in AR, I could. Another member told me he could only go in certain increments in his state (I don't remember now what they were). But apparently it changes by state. The thing is, when it comes to whether or...

Looks like a CargoMax wannabe thingie to me! :D

Best Starting battery for a gm van.

Seems reasonable to me. At some point, I would like to have qualcom connected to the auxilliary battery as well (if that's possible??). But for the time being it is connected to the starting battery. What is killing my current battery is that 4 position cig. plug adapter. In it, I have power to...

    Battery Help

Ok, I'm starting to get the idea. It's bedtime for now though. I've got plenty of time to plan it out. Thanks for the info!

Adding living quarters to a box truck

Your first consideration would probably be to get it DOT legal. I think the only thing that would require is to make sure the partition between the freight area and the sleeper area will withstand a certain amount of force. You'll have to research that to find out how much it is. I would...

    Battery Help

Of course...if i knew what I wanted/needed, I wouldn't have to ask :D. I'll reconsider the distribution panel if need be, but for now I just want to get the rest of the system addressed to a point that I'm comfortable with. I think you have it with the link provided below. You are 100% correct...

    August locations and banter

I'm stuck!! At home! :) Been in service since Monday afternoon but I was actually pretty happy not to hear from dispatch yesterday. I apparently found Dale's stomach virus Monday night. Spent monday night sick, and Tuesday recovering. Feeling good now though. Where's my load? :) It's...

Best Starting battery for a gm van.

I've also found a Duralast Gold with side and top posts. The only thing I would use the top post for would be to run a line to my auxillary battery, but it would be handy for that. So now, the question being...is the AGM worth it? The Gold battery is not AGM as I understand the...
