    Am I Getting Ripped A New 1?

I'm having a bit of a brain fart today... BigJoe, if the load pays $1000.00 to the truck from the carrier, how much do you end up with in your pocket?

    Qualcomm

I agree on PJ's doing a lousy job. I showed them exactly where to get power for the QC, a nice easy OEM switched and battery power source for add on equipment. I got a QC that would not shut off at all, and that I found was butcher wired into my transmission ECM harness!! Of course it was...

    Am I Getting Ripped A New 1?

You pay half of all the expenses and receive less than half of the gross....problem 1 As stated above, you are paying for a truck that unless you have an agreement on ownership will never be yours..problem 2. I would find another fleet owner to drive for, get some time under your belt and then...

    Deer Whistles

I don't have any. For every person I know who swears by them I know someone else who says they either don't work or actually make things worse. Come to think of it I can say that about anything (AirTabs, Synthetic oil etc) so maybe that's not a good point. I keep thinking about trying them. I...

    19mpg in a van

    Which synthetic oil??

In your GM Leo the oil life monitor will not adapt to the different oil. I ran synthetic and dino in the Duramax and it never changed it always flagged a service between 10 and 12,000 miles based on the season (shorter in the winter). I am reasonably sure the GM system does not measure oil...

    Which synthetic oil??

Yes it does. You sometimes will see different results depending on the additive package in the oil (ie brand a might use more moly and it will show higher on the result) but as long as you tell the lab what brand of oil you are using they will interpret the results correctly for you. I usually...

    Which synthetic oil??

The issue for me OVM is oil performance. Sometimes I think oil sampling is a curse because you actually know whats going on inside the engine. Instead of happily going down the road knowing I am using the correct oil and everything should be fine I see oils that despite meeting the specs and...

    Which synthetic oil??

If I were driving an 06 and earlier Sprinter (No DPF) I would be looking very hard at finding a CJ-4 oil that either met or came close to the required spec. There are many CJ rated oils that meet MB228.31 and 228.3 and 228.5. What is the actual spec number for the older engines Turtle??
